what our players'

parents are saying

My son loved working out with Coach Schwartz. He challenged my son as a basketball player by helping improve his skills and basketball IQ. With the help of Coach Schwartz, my son’s confidence grew not only on the court but off the court as well.
— Dan Smoot, Cottage Grove
My daughter really enjoyed her first year with East Metro Wave. The coaches are amazing and I love the convenience of having practices close to home instead of the longer commutes we’ve done in the past.
— Holli Henderson, Cottage Grove
Coach Schwartz knows how to get the most out of his players, has great knowledge of the game and teaches them the value of fundamentals.
— Eric Prose, Head Coach, Mahtomedi High School
The practice frequency of 2x/week. The cost was right. The mix of East Metro players was good, many friends made by the girls. Very good coaching, good mix between the two coaches styles. Good game/tourney schedule. Nice uniforms and swag.

Very Good Coaches and experience!!! The price/value was great! Most all practices on a Varsity wood floor. Generally, equal playing time for all! Good friends made.
— Erik Olson, Cottage Grove
The energy and expertise of the East Metro Wave is impressive. Practices were well planned, very specific, and catered to the needs of each athlete as well as the team as a whole. The coaches handled the teams with care, thoughtfulness, and excitement. This was the first year my daughter played AAU. She is hungry for more. I would recommend this exceptional program in a heartbeat.
— Kristina Jameson, St. Paul
Quality skill work at practice, cost was kept down, local tournaments, 8 players so plenty of game time for each player. Communication was excellent. Local gyms for practice.

I really appreciated the skill work and focus on development for the players. The fees were also very reasonable and tournaments were not a great distance away.
— Bryan Munter, Athletic Director, Tartan High School
The coaching was great. We loved the positive atmosphere and team attitude.
— Dale Sommerhause, White Bear Lake
As a parent, you love to see your child enjoy what they are doing! Watching our daughter develop as a player this season was so fun. She enjoyed working with the coaching staff and playing with her teammates.
— Megan Carstensen, Hudson (Wis.)
This was by far one of the best basketball experiences my daughter has ever had. The coaching and player development was excellent and the girls really work hard and have fun together. I can’t express how impressive the coaching was and the rapid growth of the team. Very positive culture with high expectations!
— Jeb Schmidt, Woodbury
J Schwartz has a passion, character, and outstanding basketball acumen. He focuses on fundamentals that make players better offensively and defensively.
— Tony Williams, High School Basketball Official
I really liked the coaches. It was great to see Avery come home every night and laugh about a conversation that she had with Coach B. I will also say the mix of girls. Having girls from different communities is good. The players had to learn to work with players they have not worked with before.
— Brett Corrigan, Cottage Grove
