WHO WE ARE
Director J Schwartz founded East Metro Wave in 2018 for his daughter. Her previous AAU teams didn't provide the experience he was looking for. He wanted a program that was willing to accommodate her multi-sport schedule without penalty and a program that focused on building a solid foundation of basketball skills that would help her earn spots on higher teams.

The Best Coaches
On average our coaches have 17+ years of experience. Our staff includes coaches who have experience coaching youth, high school and college basketball teams. Several of these coaches have won awards voted on by their peers. Check out our coaches page for individual coach bios.
The Most Family Friendly Schedule
We are the only AAU club that gives parents some autonomy in what weekends we play. We feel that parents know what is best in prioritizing their families' needs on any given night. We trust you to choose when basketball is the priority.
Multi-Sport Athletes Welcome
All too often athletes are being made to pick a sport and specialize at a very young age. We have proven we can provide a very positive experience while participating in other activities.
Focus on Fundamentals
We teach kids how to play basketball, not just basketball plays. Our focus on fundamentals helps kids level up their game, frequently resulting in them making higher teams in their school or traveling league. Check out what we do for details on our proven basketball training system.
